Assignment: Boss Up.

A boss is a boss regardless of the environment...Because being a boss is a mindset. The rest is just perks of the job.

Ever feel like everywhere you turn someone becomes successful overnight? But really the truth is, it’s not that we don’t see the process. Its when we see the process we don’t recognize it as the beginning stage of something great.

You see overtime I’ve come to realize that there is a common trait in most of my peers who have gone on to create a successful business of their own. They all looked something like a hobby at first. It was “cute”. It garnered comments like “aw your’e so talented” but usually that was about the extent of it. No one in the crowd was saying man I know that’s their full time job because that’s a money making idea! People expected you to have a “real job” and just have fun with all that other stuff.

But then something changes and before you know it, you are seeing a thriving business on social media and wondering how the heck did this happen. Well, I know a few of the ways; it’s committment. COMMITMENT to the process even when it wasn’t bringing the funds they wanted. It was DEVELOPMENT of the vision. It was IMPLEMENTATION of the system especially when the numbers are so low it’s still considered a hobby.

A boss is a boss regardless of the environment...Because being a boss is a mindset.

Prepare to be a boss. Think like a boss. Operate like a boss. Then become a boss.

I got some ideas brewing of a little series I’d love to do where I dig more into this concept. Everyone wants to be their own boss but many don’t know what the in between process looks like. Chances are you’ve started the journey one time or another and stopped when you really needed to dig in. I know I have many times. I want to dive into what this “in between” looks like and I hope to share it with you all. 🤞🏾
